Quick answers about playing Wood Lock, coins, cloud save and privacy.
General
Is Wood Lock free?
Yes. Wood Lock is free to play and supported by ads. All 600 levels, the daily and weekly puzzles, every game mode and the season pass are free.
Can I play offline?
Yes. You don't need an internet connection to play. Ads, cloud save and leaderboards simply wait until you're online again.
Which devices are supported?
Wood Lock is available for Android phones and tablets on Google Play.
Which languages are available?
English, हिन्दी (Hindi) and Español (Spanish). Change it in Settings → Language.
What is a Klotski puzzle?
Klotski is a classic sliding block puzzle. Blocks of different sizes sit in a tray and you slide them to move the largest block to the exit. Wood Lock is our wooden take on it, with 600 new levels.
Gameplay
What counts as one move?
Sliding one block in a straight line counts as one move, no matter how many cells it travels.
How do I get 3 stars?
Solve the level close to the best possible number of moves shown on the board. The hint under the scoreboard tells you how many moves you have left for 3 stars.
I'm stuck. What can I do?
Use a hint to see the next best move, undo a few moves, or restart. After you win you can also watch the best solution.
How do I unlock more levels?
Solve a level to unlock the next one. Pack 2 (Master, levels 201–400) opens after level 200 and Pack 3 (Tall Timber, levels 401–600, with tall 1×3 logs) after level 400.
Does auto-solve give stars?
No. Auto-solve shows you the answer, but the level is not counted as solved and gives no stars or coins. Solve it yourself to unlock the next level.
When does the daily puzzle change?
At midnight on your phone. Everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day.
I missed a daily puzzle. Can I still play it?
Yes. Open Daily and tap a missed day in the calendar (up to 30 days back). It costs 30 coins once; you can leave and come back without paying again.
How does the Weekly Event work?
Every Monday seven new puzzles appear in Modes → Weekly Event. You get 15 coins for each first solve and 150 when all seven are done. Get 3 stars on all seven to unlock the Champion board.
How do I play Memory mode?
Study the board while it's shown, then solve it with the blocks hidden. A block appears while you drag it, and you can peek twice per puzzle.
What does Rewind to best do?
It takes you back to the last point in your moves from which the puzzle can still be solved in the fewest moves — so 3 stars are possible again. It costs 25 coins and you're only charged if it actually rewinds.
How do I share a puzzle I made?
In the Workshop, open the menu of your puzzle and choose Share code. Your friend taps Import code and pastes it. Workshop puzzles don't pay coins.
Coins & shop
How do I get more coins?
Solve new levels, finish the daily puzzle, claim daily login rewards, open the free chest every 4 hours, complete quests and achievements, or watch an optional short video.
Can I buy coins with real money?
No. Coins are earned only by playing. There are no real-money purchases in Wood Lock at the moment.
Will I lose my coins if I reset progress?
No. Reset progress clears levels, stars and statistics, but your coins and shop items are kept.
What is the season pass?
A free 30-tier reward track in Goals → Season. Solving levels, daily and weekly puzzles, modes, quests and achievements earns XP. A new season starts every 4 weeks.
How does the Lucky Wheel work?
Tap the wheel on the home screen for one free spin a day. After that you can spin once more by watching a short video. Prizes are coins, hints, undos or a Streak Freeze.
What is the 3-star streak?
Win levels, daily or weekly puzzles with 3 stars in a row for bonus coins at 3, 5 and 10 wins. Replaying a level you already solved the same way doesn't count.
Why can't I buy some carvings?
The Old Tree, Sun and Wave carvings and the Champion board are rewards: complete an item set in Goals → Sets, or get 3 stars on all seven weekly puzzles.
Progress & cloud save
How do I back up my progress?
Go to Settings → Cloud save and sign in with Google Play Games. Your levels, coins, shop items, rewards, season progress and Workshop puzzles are saved to your Google account and restored when you sign in on another phone.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play everything without signing in. Signing in to Google Play Games is optional and only used for cloud save and leaderboards.
I reinstalled the game and my progress is gone.
Progress is stored on your phone. If you had signed in to Play Games, open Settings → Cloud save and sign in again to restore it.
How do I turn daily reminders on or off?
Settings → Notifications → Daily reminder. You can also allow or block notifications for Wood Lock in your phone's settings.
Ads & privacy
Why are there ads?
Ads keep Wood Lock free. Banners are shown only on menu screens, never while you're playing, and full-screen ads only appear between levels. Videos are always optional — for free coins, a second spin or double win coins.
What data does Wood Lock collect?
We don't run servers and don't collect your personal data. Google AdMob uses device information such as your advertising ID to show ads. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I turn off personalised ads?
Yes. Where required, the app asks for your consent and you can change it in Settings → Privacy & ad choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
